- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 14-year-old boy with a history of ulcerative colitis, presenting with severe pouchitis, cramping and suspected cuffitis failure. It mentions ileal pouch anal anastomosis (IPAA) requires revisional surgery or a permanent diversion and salvage of the pouch is a challenging and demanding procedure. It also mentions dense adhesiolysis and excision of rectal remnant and mesorectum were done before the pouch mobilization.
