- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 46-year-old man who was referred to the cutaneous lymphoma/radiotherapy unit in 2011 for further assessment of his Kaposi's sarcoma (KS). His medical history shows that he was diagnosed with HIV in 2002 and KS affecting his right leg and lung in 2004. The study highlights the occurrence of negative immunohistochemistry in KS, which was subsequently found to have human herpesvirus 8 (HHV-8) transcripts by polymerase chain reaction (PCR).
