- Abstract
The article discusses a case study on a four-month girl with suspected non-accidental injury who was brought to the pediatric department because of a short generalized afebrile seizure. The patient was lethargic upon admission. Hematomas were found on both cheeks. Ophthalmoscopy revealed multiple minor rectinal hemorrhages on the right side. Chest x-ray one week after admission showed diffuse blurring bilaterally. The child was discharged to the care of the parents but under close supervision by the social services.
