- Abstract
This study examined the moderating effects of education and religious identification on die relationship between argumentativeness and religiosity (N = 1,068). We conducted correlation analysis, ANOVA and hierarchical regression analysis. Analysis revealed a negative relationship between argumentativeness and religiosity. Further analysis showed a bi-directional association between level of education and argumentativeness. Hindus were found to be more argumentative than members of other religious groups, and there were significant differences between religious groups in terms level of religiosity. The moderating influence of education on argumentativeness and religiosity was mixed. We could not determine the moderating influence of religious identification, as this particular regression model was non-significant.
