- Abstract
The article discusses the efficacy of sulfur and oxygen isotope that associated to the reactions between pyrite and radiolytic oxidants. The experiments used the methods of X-ray diffraction patterns and scanning electron microscopy to reveal anhedral and subhedral hydrated iron sulfates in globular clusters. It was found out that radiolysis is an effective mechanism for the production of oxidizing species in subsurface environments over geologic time.
