- Abstract
The article focuses on the use of problem-based learning as an alternative to lecture-based continuing medical education in Great Britain. Learning is an active rather than a passive process. Effective learning requires the participation of learners rather than merely act as observers. The pros and cons of the use problem based learning in continuing medical education are discussed.
