- Abstract
The article highlights the issues of increased Human Salmonella infections in Michigan during 2016–2018, due to live poultry shipment box sampling at Feed Stores. Topic includes increasing public health concern as backyard flock ownership has grown in popularity; efficient method for detecting outbreak strains in live poultry; and postal service labels to determine hatchery of origin which simplifies traceback during outbreak investigations.
