- Abstract
The authors suggest a two-step consent algorithm which allows sample and data collection to start immediately during an outbreak of a public health emergency. Topics discussed include lessons learned by clinical researchers from the COVID-19 pandemic, lost samples during the first peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, and proposal for two-step consent process and exploratory sample collection.
