- Abstract
This article, titled "EP06.57: Prenatal diagnosis of fetal congenital hepatoblastoma: a case report," discusses a rare case of hepatoblastoma, a childhood tumor, that was diagnosed prenatally. The case involved a 35-year-old woman who was referred to a fetal medicine service due to polyhydramnios and increased abdominal circumference found in an outside ultrasound. The ultrasound revealed a vascular, well-defined mass in the right hepatic lobe, and further tests confirmed the diagnosis of hepatoblastoma. The newborn underwent surgery and is currently thriving with a prognosis for near 100% survival. The article emphasizes the importance of ultrasound in the timely diagnosis and management of complex fetal conditions.
