- Abstract
The article discusses the history of political ideologies of higher education faculty since 1969-2022 in the U.S. and its effects on the learning environment. Topics include the self-identification of 60 percent faculty members, and college professors as far-left or liberals, the role of high majority of left-leaning academics in widespread discrimination against non-left job applicants, a decrease in academic quality following the faculty's increasing political interests.
