- Title
PROFESSOR JOUBERT BOTHA'S SEVEN DEADLY SINS.
- Authors
Terreblanche, Sample
- Abstract
Economist Joubert Botha alleges that the economic ideas in the author's book "are frequently wrapped in the old Marxian jargon of class struggles, bourgeoisie, petit bourgeoisie, the lumpenproletariat and other standard chichés that one would expect in the works of Marxists." This so-called Marxist "jargon" has became common in philosophy, political science, economic history and sociology. The author is aware of the fact that mainstream neo-classical economists are only interested in the presumed rational actions of isolated individuals in the supposedly perfect market and that they are unaware of the existence of society, or class and racial formations.
