- Abstract
The article discusses the need of urban conservation education and emphasizes the idea that most conservation programs have been concentrating upon rural concepts in the U.S. Richard Weaver, professor in University of Michigan, assessed the matter of land use for industry, residential, services and recreational possibilities. He pointed out the interdependency of rural and urban areas. Muriel Buschlein, member of Chicago Teachers College, presented the idea of developing a school resource file which might result from community surveys in which industries, organizations, parents and lay people cooperate.
