- Abstract
The article discusses alternatives for organizing homeland security in the U.S. federal government and the issues that will need to be addressed in choosing among them. It examines major factors and concepts that should be considered in taking an organizational approach to homeland security. Several extant approaches for organizing homeland security, organizational approaches for covering emergency management and drug control, and future implications for the approaches used in homeland security management are analyzed.
