- Abstract
Mn, Ti substituted barium ferrite (BaFe(MnTi)O) was fabricated by solid state reaction, which shows high efficiency and wide band microwave absorption. The minimum reflection loss ( R ) reaches up to −31 dB and the bandwidth below −10 dB almost covers the whole X band. The enhancement of microwave absorption is attributed to the improvement of dielectric loss and magnetic loss. The imaginary permeability possesses a perfect resonance peak due to the response frequency shifting towards lower frequency by Mn, Ti substitution. The imaginary permittivity reaches up to 0.5. The results show a promising feasible route to tune the electromagnetic properties and develop high efficient absorbers.
