- Abstract
Focuses on the synthesis of 2-dimensional inorganic/organic hybrid polymers. Layered inorganic/organic hybrids attract attention because of their potential use for polymer-clay nanocomposites as well as other functional materials. The synthesis of inorganic/organic hybrids by a suitable catalyst, temperature and ratios of silicon oxide species and alkylsilanes, obtaining layered alkylsiloxanes with an ordered interdigitated arrangement of alkyl chains with trans conformation. The thermal properties of these layered inorganic/organic hybrids are suitable for the some applications as energy storage materials etc. and producing nanosheets, functional layered materials and composites.
