- Abstract
This article focuses on contact allergy and photocontact allergy that occurs due to sunscreens. This article also reports on a case study of a 44-year-old female who had dermatitis around the eyes and on the earlobes. The patient suspected that the allergy is due to ear rings. After the avoidance of jewelry and discontinuation of the use of cosmetics, the dermatitis quickly settled. On patch testing patient showed positive reaction to three metals and to a herbal sunscreen cream. Hence, it was found out that the patient was sensitized to avocado oil contained in a herbal sunscreen cream.
