- Abstract
This article presents information on chromate in postage stamps. It will be noted that the chromate of more modem stamps is not soluble in water. The Editorial in 1906 stated, that surely if yellow coloring must be used to distinguish one postage stamp from another, sonic innocent dye can be found among the numerous aniline yellows. W. Braun in 1974 reported contact dermatitis from an azo dye used for canceling German postage stamps.
