- Abstract
The aim of this study is to explain the effect of self-efficacy on employee silence behaviour. In this context, employee silence behavior has been discussed on three dimensions - acquiescent, defensive and prosocial silence behavior. Data collection has been done by a survey using "Employee Silence Scale" (Dyne et all, 2003) and "General Self-Efficacy Scale" (Schwarzer and Jerusalem, 1995) 224 academic and administrative personnell of a public university. T-test, anova, correlation analysis and structural equation modelling have been used in data analysis. Evidences of the study stated that employee's perception of self-efficacay has a negative effect on acquiescent and defensive silence behavior while having a positive but not a significant effect on prosocial silence behavior.
