- Abstract
This article reports on a recent assessment of the comparative produce market development activities in the states of Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina and Tennessee because of commonalities such as the prevalence of small farms, the reliance on tobacco as a cash crop, and the comparable growing seasons in all four states. Separate surveys were conducted of Extension Services, Department of Agriculture, growers, and produce marketing agents and market managers.
