- Abstract
The article recounts on the existence of Loch Ness monster as a gift to cartoonists and the Scottish tourist industry in the 19th century. Information about theories on the identity of the monster such as giant eel, giant aquatic worm with horns and herd of plesiosaurs, is provided. Also emphasized is the adoption of a non-partisan approach to the monster depicted in the book titled "A Monstrous Commotion: The Mysteries of Loch Ness" by Gareth Williams.
