- Authors
Chalmers, Iain; Fox, Daniel M.
- Abstract
The authors reflect on the increasing incidence and influence of systematic reviews on health policies and practices as of 2016, and it mentions the reasons why some people make health care and public health policy and practice decisions without reference to supporting research. Reports involving clinical trials and animal-related research are examined, along with the effectiveness of pharmaceutical drugs and nondrug clinical interventions. Research funding guidelines are assessed.
