- Abstract
The article discusses the treatments for obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). The article mentions that while effective pharmacologic and psychosocial treatments are available, OCD is still difficult to treat successfully and it is difficult to bring about remission in a patient with OCD. Recommended as initial treatment for patients who prefer non-medication treatment is cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
