- Abstract
The article reports on issues and topics related to the fixed price scheme set by the government for educating nursing and midwifery students across England. Effective September 2006, universities and colleges teaching pre-registration nursing courses will receive 6,479 pounds a year for each nurse they train and 7,450 pounds for each student midwife. The pricing system is part of an education contract that will be phased in over three years.
