- Abstract
Evaluates patients with suspected pulmonary embolism (PE) with an absence of risk factors for venous thromboembolism (VTE) and symptoms of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and its implications for PE diagnosis. Prevalence of abnormal ultrasound results based on the presence of signs and symptoms of DVT and risk factors for VTE; Limited number of patients with neither risk factors nor symptoms of DVT that are positive for PE.
