Abstract
The article reports on the geoscientific research being conducted of the Nankai Trough in the Pacific ocean. Details are given describing the ultrasonic imaging being constructed from three-dimensional seismic data collected from earthquakes and tsunamis of the region. The correlation between the ocean floor geography and seismic activity is explained.
