Omar, and co-workers illustrate that external magnet (not shown) induces a moment (shown by arrows) in iron oxide nanoparticles dispersed in an aqueous droplet and an oversaturation of nanoparticles on the surface of the droplet. Removal of the magnetic field causes an explosive ejection of ferromagnetic liquid microdroplets from the surface of the droplet.
