- Abstract
PVA: NaAlg with NH4SCN(different wt. %) solid polymer electrolytes(SPE) were prepared by solution casting technique. XRD and FTIR investigations confirmed, polymer's amorphous character and complexation with salt. The Nyquist plot of PVA: NaAlg: NH4SCN(15 wt.%) SPE showed a significant ionic conductivity of 2.27 × 10 - 6 S / c m . The relaxation time was1.08 × 10−4 s. Linear Sweep Voltammetry studies indicated that prepared SPE have an electrochemical stability window of 0.7 V. The Cyclic voltammetry investigation exhibited faradaic behavior. Based on these studies, the inclusion of ammonium salt in this reported hybrid polymer blend could be a potential SPE for electrochemical devices.
