- Abstract
The article discusses significance of gelatinous zooplankton in marine ecosystems. It states the diversity of Gelatinous zooplankton (GZ) which include the groups like ctenophores, and cnidarian, and mentions that GZ are characterized by higher water content. It highlights the environmental factors that affect the physiology of the organisms like temperature. It notes the role of GZ in food web of marine ecosystems.
