- Abstract
In order to study the influence of stator winding transient on the dynamic reactive power characteristics of synchronous condensers and the voltage regulation of ultra high voltage direct current (UHVDC) near-zone system, the influence of stator winding transient on the practical model of synchronous condensers was compared and analyzed. Firstly, the time-step finite element model of the synchronous condenser was established, and the calculation results were verified by the experiments of the model machine, thus the standard response curve of the synchronous condenser was obtained. Then the saturated practical model of the synchronous condenser with and without the stator winding transient was deduced, and the variation law of the dynamic reactive power characteristic and terminal voltage were calculated under different disturbance of the system voltage. At last, influence of the stator winding transient on the ability of the absorbing and delivering reactive power was studied under the rise and drop of the system voltage. The change rule of the contrast analysis of the system voltage rose and fell sharply when the stator winding transient synchronous condenser is on the influence of the reactive power ability and has the ability to absorb reactive power. The research results provide technical support for the reactive dynamic characteristics of synchronous condensers and further guarantee the stable operation of the power grid voltage.
