- Title
MONEY MARKET DEVELOPMENT AND THE DEMAND FOR MONEY: SOME PRELIMINARY EVIDENCE.
- Authors
Cohen, Bruce C.
- Abstract
The article presents preliminary empirical evidence supporting the econometric model of money demand shifts as asserted by George Kaufman and Cynthia Latta in their report "The Demand for Money: Preliminary Evidence from Industrial Countries," from the September 1966 issue. An empirical review of economic actions surrounding negotiable certificates of deposit within the 1960s U.S. money market is provided in support of the Kaufman-Latta theory.
