- Abstract
In this paper, electron injection from lithium metal into a robust indole core and subsequent treatment with a boron electrophile result in boron insertion to yield an attractive BN‐isostere of naphthalene. The lovely Jizo, located in Enkoji Temple (圓光寺) near Kyoto University, looks forward to aromatic metamorphosis being established as a reliable synthetic methodology for organic synthesis. More details about this figure will be discussed by Prof. Hideki Yorimitsu on page 536‐540 in this issue.
