- Abstract
An efficient and simple method for the synthesis of bis(4-hydroxycoumarin)methanes has been achieved through a one-pot condensation of aryl aldehydes and 4-hydroxycoumarin in the presence of nanoporous solid acid catalyst of SBA-Pr-SO3H with pore size of 6 nm. Excellent yields, short reaction times, reusability of the catalyst and simple workup are advantages of this synthetic procedure.
