- Abstract
Hydrides Hydride ‐ bridged di ‐ and tetracopper complexes supported by tetraphosphine ligands were prepared and found to be subject to facile insertion of CO2, leading to formate ‐ bridged di ‐ and tetracopper complexes, as reported by Tomoaki Tanase et al. in their Communication on page 3106 ff. (see the Back Cover). The experimental and DFT theoretical studies demonstrated that a novel CO2 insertion into the Cu2(μ ‐ H) unit occurred with the flexible dicopper platform, which should be highly important in relation to the insertion promoted on the surface of metallic copper materials.
