- Abstract
Competitive market environments motivate new companies to look for tools that allow them not only to survive, but also to differentiate themselves from their competitors and provide added value to customers. This reflection article seeks to examine the perspectives of strategic entrepreneurship as a mechanism to strengthen the opportunities and competitive advantages of new companies in the market. Initially, entrepreneurship and its relationship with strategy are defined, emphasizing the complementarity between them as tools to strengthen their organizational structures in turbulent times. It is concluded that strategic entrepreneurship is not an isolated action in the company; it is a philosophy of operation, which when is implemented permeates the organizational culture, orienting it towards innovation and the continuous search for unsatisfied needs and the way to supply them, in this sense strategic management is key to strengthen distinctive capabilities that become competitive advantages.
