- Abstract
This article presents the results of a research about the effects of didactic flexibility on the quality of learning in virtual environments with undergraduate students of the Studies in Virtual Environments Faculty - EAN University, Colombia. In the study the quality of learning was compared for two groups under different experimental situations, the first group under a didactic flexibility model (experimental group) and the second group following a rigidity model (control group). Flexibility was addressed from the access to Virtual Learning Objects (VLO), choice about subjects, kind of reports and options for developing collaborative learning. Results indicate that students have a better perception of tutor and contents in rigid classrooms, but present lower dropping out rates in flexible classrooms.
