- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 13-month-old male with bilateral leg bruising, refusal to stand, and other symptoms, leading to a misdiagnosis of acute leukemia. Topics include the importance of early identification and treatment of vitamin B12 deficiency, as the hematological manifestations can be reversed; and the need to suspect maternal vitamin B12 deficiency when low vitamin B12 levels are observed in breastfeeding infants.
