- Abstract
The article focuses on a study conducted to analyze the survival rate of patients receiving treatment through a primary prevention implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) in clinical practice and a comparison with clinical trials. The study was conducted through retrospective analysis of medical databases for patients suffering with cardiovascular diseases and informs that data was collected for January 1, 2006 to December 31, 2007. According to the results, no difference was found between patient survival during clinical trials and clinical practices.
