- Abstract
The study was aimed to investigate the applicability of removing Pb from aqueous solutions using natural walnut shell (NWS). This article presents the data for the effect of NWS dose, pH, and contact time on the adsorption of Pb. At optimum conditions of the above-mentioned parameters, more than 90% yield was obtained within 2 min at NWS dose of 1 g/100 mL for the initial Pb concentration of 100 mg/L. Adsorption capacity was calculated from the Langmuir as 9.912 mg/g at 25 °C. The system was best described by the pseudo-second-order kinetic, which its equation provided evidence in favour of the adsorption kinetic.
