- Abstract
The article presents a study which filled a polycaprolactone (PCL) matrix with a biocompatible polysaccharide-grafted PLC, chitosan-g-PCL (CS-g-PCL) to improve the performance of PCL-based materials. The findings revealed that the rigidity of the CS chains and the increasing crystallinity enhanced the strength of the materials. The study also found that the interfacial structure and improved miscibility between CS and PCL matrix enhanced the elongation of the composite materials.
