- Abstract
This article looks at some court decisions concerning family violence in Alberta. Justice Donald Lee of the Alberta Court of Queen's Bench made rulings in four cases. Lee based his decisions on the Protection Against Family Violence Act. The interaction between the civil, criminal and child welfare responses to family violence in the province is addressed. In addition, the article discusses the rulings that domestic violence perpetrators should take anger management courses as conditions of their sentences.
