- Abstract
The article offers information on Microwave Development Laboratories (MDL) which is a producer of waveguide and subassemblies founded by mathematics professor Henry Riblet in 1948. MDL has contributed the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's (NASA) Apollo moon program by designing a thin wall monopulse comparator for the Lunar Excursion Module, which is lander portion of the Apollo spacecraft in 1960s. The company's product lines include waveguide assemblies used on unmanned vehicles such as the Predator and Global Hawk, the Patriot system and Phalanx close-in weapon systems.
