- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 59-year-old man with chronic alcoholism for over 10 years who was admitted to Aomori Prefectural Central Hospital in Aomori, Japan with reduced level of consciousness in six days. The diagnoses was Marchiafava-Bignami disease associated with bifrontal cortical lesions which was then initiated with hyperalimentation and high-dose multivitamins. The patient's MRI hyperintensity in the cortical lesions vanished and awaken him but in a state of confusion.
