- Abstract
The small bowel wall thickening from BL tends to be aneurysmal in nature, resulting in the dilatation of the lumen.5 As such, unlike other small bowel malignancies, it is rare for BL to result in small bowel obstruction. Fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) positron emission tomography-computed tomography performed post-operatively showed hypermetabolic lesions involving multiple segments of the stomach and small bowel, as well as hypermetabolic nodal disease above and below the diaphragm (Fig. GLO:HWR/01mar21:ans16215-fig-0001.jpg PHOTO (COLOR): 1 Multiple short segments of gastric and small bowel mural thickening with a transition point of the small bowel dilatation in the distal ileum caused by irregular mural thickening.
