- Abstract
The article focuses on the chartered plane carrying a shipment of blood from the Indiana Blood Center to the Galveston Island in Texas on August 28, 2017 following Hurricane Harvey. Topics include the delayed delivery due to dangerous winds and flooding in a nearby county, the effort of the U.S. Army National Guard in transporting blood to the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) using Blackhawk UH-60 aircraft, and the transportation of lifesaving cargo to the main campus.
