- Abstract
The article discusses the Food and Drug Administration's first emergency-use authorization (EUA) of peramivir. It states that peramivir is an injectable neuraminidase inhibitor that has limited Phase II and III clinical data. It notes that peramivir shows a one-day reduction in symptoms linked with H1N1 influenza. It also discusses the requirements to obtain peramivir from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Moreover, peramivir's common side effects are cited.
