- Abstract
The article reports on research which was conducted to investigate barriers to hypertension self-management in patients with hypertension and comorbidities. Researchers conducted interviews with 48 patients with uncontrolled hypertension and at least one comorbidity. They found that there were four factors that interfered with hypertension self-management: interdependence, low priority, conflicts and managing multiple medications.
