- Abstract
The article relates the perilous plight of refugees and asylum seekers to Europe since the Arab Spring in 2011, coming from the seven routes including Western African, Black Sea, Eastern Borders, Western, Central and Eastern Mediterranean and the Western Balkan. Several health issues like infectious diseases, mental illness and traumatic injuries have plagued refugee camps, despite heroic efforts of healthcare providers to give assistance beyond the call of their professional duty.
