- Abstract
The article presents a study of race, space and place in the education of Puerto Rican youths attending schools in the U.S., referred to as DiaspoRicans. The study uses Critical Race Theory and Latina/o Critical Race Theory as analytical frameworks to compare and contrast the experiences of students in each setting, focusing on how they experienced race, racialization and racism in particular spaces. It highlights the need for dehumanizing schooling practices to be dismantled.
