- Abstract
The article focuses on the toxic effects of Ulva fasciata's polyunsaturated fatty acids on red tide phyotoplankter species. Alpha linolenic acid and linoleic acid from U. fasciata affected red tide phytoplankters in a concentration-dependent manner. Six species were tested and raphidophycean flagellate Heterosigma akashiwo was the most susceptible to the fatty acids.
