- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a two-year-old female term newborn who was admitted to a clinic for therapy and evaluation of bradycardia. It says that the patient has developed repetitive Torsades de Pointes (TdP) tachycardia within the first hour after admission. It states that a positive response to lidocaine testing and T-wave morphology on surface electrocardiogram (ECG) have confirmed the diagnosis of Long QT 3 syndrome (LQTS3). Moreover, neonatal manifestations of LQTS are mentioned.
